TPC'S FIRST SERVICES AND BUILDING
Timonium Presbyterian Church was incorporated on November 28, 1969. The first service was held on January 4, 1970, in the Pinewood Elementary School, Timonium, Maryland. The charter membership was 150.
On April 11, 1970, the congregation became affiliated with the
Reformed Presbyterian Church, Evangelical Synod,
(RPC/ES). The Reformed branch of this denomination had its origin in America in 1774. Reverend Frank P.
Smick, Jr., was appointed acting moderator.
In April of 1971, the
Reverend Arthur L. Herries began his ministry as TPC’s first pastor. Services were held at the Pinewood Elementary School for 2-1/2 years before the Church was relocated to its present site on Timonium Road.
Groundbreaking for the Church's present structure was held on August 8, 1971.
A modified colonial architecture was selected for the new facility, and the cornerstone was laid on October 22, 1971. The first service was held on October 29, 1972, and the building was dedicated to the glory of God on November 19, 1972.
TPC joined the Presbyterian Church in America (PCA) in 1982 when the General Assembly of the RPC/ES "Joined" and was "Received" by the
PCA.

TPC's White House (The House On
The Hill)
In September, 1982, the large White House on the hill behind the Church parking lot was donated to the Church and has been used by various ministries since then. TPC celebrated its
thirty-ninth anniversary in January, 2009, and we praise God for His faithfulness as we have sought to serve Him and our
community.

In 2010, the White House will be
used to the glory of God by TPC and Young Life North Baltimore.
